We are currently monitoring Subtropical Storm Nicole, which is forecast to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday evening.
At this time, we expect our Miami and Tampa operations to operate as scheduled, however we recommend that you regularly check our website for updates as we continue to evaluate the weather.
Following the close monitoring of forecasted weather and discussions with airport authorities, Orlando Airport have confirmed that they will close the airport on Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th November, which unfortunately means we have had to cancel the following flights.
Wednesday 9th November
Thursday 10th November
In order to ensure we can get our customers to their destination as soon as possible once Orlando airport resumes its operation; we have scheduled the following additional flights. Customers who have been impacted by a cancellation on the 9th or 10th November will be prioritised onto below flights, or the next best available option, for this reason we ask that you do not contact the customer centre to book space on these services as they are unable to rebook any customers onto these services
Friday 11th November
Saturday 12th November
Customers will be sent their new flight details once rebooked. If we haven’t been able to get you onto one of the additional services, you will be rebooked onto the next available flight. Please note, your new flights may depart on a different date, involve travel via a connecting airport or depart/arrive at an alternative airport.
Your new flight details will show in your booking before 22:00 (Wednesday 9th November).
In the meantime, customers impacted by these cancellations who would like to re arrange their travel dates for later than 96 hours, or who no longer wish to travel, can choose their options here.
If you booked through Virgin Atlantic Holidays, you don’t need to contact us, as we will contact you to discuss your options.
If you are due to fly to one of the below destinations and your flight is still scheduled to operate, we are offering the below flexible policy to customers to allow the option to change their travel dates should they no longer wish to travel between the impacted period.
In the meantime, you can check the current status of your flight here. Please continue to monitor our website for updates.
