Due to the impact of COVID-19 and subsequent travel restrictions in destinations around the world, coupled with a sharp drop in customer demand, Virgin Atlantic is continually reviewing its flying programme.     

As always, the health and safety of our customers and our people is our absolute priority and we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation extremely carefully including the latest guidance in the UK and across our international network.

As a result, we have taken the difficult decision to delay restarting our St Lucia service. We hope to resume flights soon and please keep an eye on our website for further updates.

Requirements to enter St Lucia

You must check all requirements before heading to the airport.

There are no restrictions on who can travel to St Lucia, as long as the latest travel requirements are adhered to. Please check the Government of St Lucia website before travelling.

Pre-departure test

All passengers must have a negative result from a Covid-19 PCR test conducted by a medical professional in the 5 days before arriving in St Lucia. Rapid tests and LAMP tests are not accepted.

Entry documents

All travellers must complete a pre-arrival registration form prior to arriving in St Lucia. You must also be able to show either a Government operated quarantine facility, or a Covid-19 certified property, confirmation on arrival. 

Covid-19 testing on arrival

On arrival in St Lucia, all travellers will be screened including temperature checks at the airport. If you display symptoms, you may be required to take a Covid-19 test, even if you presented a negative result at check in/on arrival.

Quarantine

If you're fully vaccinated, you will not be required to quarantine on arrival. You must have received your second vaccine dose at least 14 days prior to arrival, and you will need to present your Covid-19 vaccination status via your NHS Covid Pass.

If you show symptoms during your stay in St Lucia, you will be required to isolate at your hotel or in a Government operated facility until you receive a negative test result. If you test positive, you will be transferred to a treatment facility until you receive two negative tests and are well enough to leave.

Passport

Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you don’t need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this.

Make sure you have a spare page in your passport for the entry stamp.

Visa

If you hold a British passport, you do not need a visa to visit St Lucia. On arrival, you'll be given a specified period to stay, and if you wish to stay longer you must apply through the St Lucia Immigration Department.

Following the latest government, World Health Organisation, and industry regulatory guidance, you must wear a face mask or face covering at all times onboard the flight and throughout the airport.

You may only remove the face mask for the following reasons:

  • To avoid harm or injury, or the risk of harm or injury, to yourself or others
  • To eat or drink where it is reasonably necessary to do so, or to take medication

There are some exemptions that apply to the wearing of face masks or face coverings:

  • If you can't put on, wear, or remove a face covering without severe distress, or due to any physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability (within the meaning of section 6 of the Equality Act 2010)
  • If you're travelling with, or providing assistance to, another person who relies on lip reading to communicate
  • Children 11 and under unless you are travelling to/from the US*

*Customers travelling to or from the USA aged 2 and over must wear a face mask at all times in the airport and onboard the flight. The same exemptions apply.
